In gardening, expanded clay is also applied to the surface of the earth to prevent the appearance of weeds, protect plants from frost and as decoration, even for artificial plants.
By mixing the expanded clay with the cultivated soil, an improvement in water retention and greater oxygenation of the plant is obtained.
Finally, by placing the expanded clay at the bottom as a base, it allows the earth to easily get rid of excess water.
