Euonymus japonicus, whose common name is eponymous, eponymous of Japan moon or Bonnet of Japan moon is an ornamental shrub whose leaf is narrow and green at its ends and yellow in its central part. It produces small greenish-yellow flowers in summer. Bonnets are shrubs or trees from 50 cm to 7 m high, with evergreen or deciduous toothed, smooth and shiny leaves, lanceolate and in opposite pairs, and inconspicuous whitish, greenish or purple flowers. The fruits are capsules that contain relatively large seeds and covered by a fleshy layer.
