Bonsai Zelkova Chinese elm is a species native to China, Japan, North Korea, South Korea and Vietnam, it is a semi-deciduous tree prized for the small size of its leaves and its peeling bark. Elm wood is very resistant to drying, which makes it resistant when permanently submerged, which is why it is used for the manufacture of boats, bridges, piles, dikes, decking in the open and in general carpentry.
