Ornamental plant native to the Mediterranean basin and Africa. Also known by the nickname Espadilla, due to the lanceolate shape of its pointed leaves. Of showy flowers that bloom in summer, highly appreciated both for cut flowers and for gardens, their cultivation can be done both outdoors and in a greenhouse. The ideal temperature for cultivation should be 20 / 25ºC maximum, 10 / 15ºC minimum and 10 / 12ºC soil temperature. It prefers sandy soil and appreciates the contribution of manure, although it is not a particularly problematic plant that can be grown practically in any type of soil.
