Elephant ear (Alocasia stingray) Houseplant. Beautiful tropical plant of Asian origin, it has large leaves. In nature, the leaves can reach a large size; namely, about 1 meter in diameter. The leaves of Alocasia "Stingray" resemble stingrays, hence the name "Stingray". They are dark green in color and have light green veins. At the end of the leaf you can see how the stem continues and forms a pointed tail. The stems of this plant take on a mottled appearance over time with a mixture of dark brown and light yellow colors. All of this results in a plant with an appearance like no other.
