The Kiwi is a woody climbing shrub, which requires the crossing of female and male plants for its reproduction. Its fruits are berries with brownish green shag skin and sweet and acidic bright green flesh with black seeds.

In open field or orchard cultivation, the Kiwi requires trellising, therefore it is recommended to use bamboo stakes that have a high durability.
